Sports quads can reach speeds of over 140 km / h, and the engine capacity is quite varied: 50-1000 cm 3 . Nevertheless, the main capacity class for sports quads is 450 cm 3 . Sports ATVs have special steering wheels, a lightweight aluminum frame and gas shock absorbers. Their power is usually 42 HP. Manufacturers of sports quads include from TGB, Yamaha, Can-Am.
Recreational quads stand between sports quads and off-road quads. Their purpose is trips to sightseeing trips and various types of integration meetings. Often, this type of model is available from rental companies because repairing them is cheap and simple.
How to choose a quad?
Before buying a quad bike, you should first of all answer the question: in what conditions will it be used? Quads allow you to ride in difficult terrain, but they can also be helpful for farmers, the army, forestry services, rescuers and other employee groups . Quads have an incredibly wide range of applications. If, on the other hand, you only think about using the quad bike for sport and recreational purposes only, then the quad bike manufactured exclusively for this purpose will suit you.
Quad was originally designed as hardware for work. When buying a quad bike for this purpose, it is worth paying attention to the presence of additional equipment, e.g. the possibility of attaching a small plow, brushes, sprayers, etc. Such a quad is then an ideal assistant on a farm.
